Randy Mudge, PGA  -  General Manager & Director of Golf

Randy comes to Mission Royale having worked with Elite Golf for the past 5 years at two of their properties.  He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin but was quickly relocated as a young child to Walnut Creek, California.  Randy’s step father, a scratch golfer in his own right, introduced Randy to the game of golf at the age of 5.  At a young age, Randy not only developed a love for golf but also for the scouts going on to earn his Eagle Scout award at the age of 13.

When not playing golf or earning scout badges, Randy worked at the golf course learning the business from the ground up as he raked bunkers by hand around the local golf club.  During high school and college, Randy assisted in the family business helping to run one of the largest bridal shops in Northern California.  After attending Diablo Valley College he made the choice to make playing golf a career and competed on the Hogan / Nike tour for a few years.  Randy would go on to meet the love of his life, Stacy, and start a family while leaving the touring life to become a club professional.  Randy started his golf professional career at Southridge in Yuba City, California and later worked at facilities such as Peachtree Country Club for 12 years, The Villages in San Jose and earned his first Head Golf Professional position at Copper River Country Club in 2001.  Randy would continue to advance his career and become a General Manager overseeing the Mojave Golf Club and Huukan Golf Club in Fort Mojave, Arizona.

Randy’s love for the game of golf and his work is only matched by his love for his family.  Stacy and Randy would go on to have seven wonderful children who would go on to bring ten grandchildren into his life.  When not at work or playing golf, you can find Randy playing with his newest granddaughter, Bailey.  Recently, Randy won the 2020 Southwest Section PGA Merchandise of the year award.  Stop by the club and meet Randy and for help acquiring the latest apparel or clubs and if you need to knock a few shots of your game, Randy would enjoy giving you a lesson.
